KARACHI: The Karachi Hockey Association (KHA) has announced 29 probables at the end of two-day open trials held on the all-Sindh basis for the selection of Karachi Development Authority (KDA) women’s hockey team.

The probables, who were announced with the consent of the KDA, will undergo 10-day training camp at the Olympian Hanif Khan-Dr Junaid Ali Shah hockey complex from Monday. “The camp will help to hone the skills of the players before shortlisting the final 16 for employment,” an official of the KHA said.

Pakistan Customs former player Mohammad Shah has been named as camp commandant and will be assisted by Abdul Ghafoor, Beenish Mohammad Ali and Nasira.

All the probables have been advised to bring their domicile, PRC, NIC, four passport size photographs and educational certificates with them at the time of reporting in the camp.

Goalkeepers: Shazma Naseem (Karachi), Durry Najaf (Karachi), Umaima (Karachi), Tehmina Zehra (Khairpur), Ifrah (Benazirabad).

Backs: Kanwal Ajaz (Karachi), Mahnoor Khan (Karachi), Sumaira Naseem (Karachi), Mehak (Karachi), Areeba Siddique (Karachi), Amna (Hyderbad).

Halves: Batool Fatima (Karachi), Ayesha Mehmood (Karachi), Mahnoor Jamshed (Karachi), Mahwish Naz (Karachi), Arshia Rashid (Karachi), Kashmala (Khairpur), Nimra Mohammad Javaid (Hyderabad), Mehwish Baloch (Benazirabad).

Forwards: Momal Suqaina (Karachi), Fatima Zehra (Karachi), Ghazala Chaudary (Karachi), Maheen Ali (Karachi), Inshara (Karachi), Carol Gill (Sukkar), Summaiya (Sukkar), Sobia Abbas (Benazirabad), Mishal Baloch (Benazirabad), Mahnoor Nazeer (Benazirabad).
