PAF housing scheme

Published September 17, 2018

PAF launched a housing scheme on M-10 Motorway in 2015 at Karachi’s Northern Bypass. It seems held up for unknown reasons.

Many people have applied for this scheme as they trusted PAF. Three years have passed but development work is too slow. On the other hand, they charge interest if the installments are not paid.

No newsletters or any information regarding the scheme has been provided in the last one year. The authorities need to look into this as this is creating frustration and anxiety.

I called up PAF’s housing scheme office in Karachi at PAF base Sharea Faisal. They said balloting would take place in October 2018. This has been postponed twice. There are rumours that PAF’s name has been used and actually some other party is involved in this scheme, although advertisements clearly mentioned it was a PAF scheme.

PAF cannot fool the buyers if this scheme has been outsourced to some other party. If this is the case, this is no different from other schemes. All such schemes should be monitored. People invested in the scheme trusting the armed forces.
