A special court hearing treason charges against retired Gen Pervez Musharraf on Monday invited suggestions on ways to extradite the absconding former president.
Headed by Justice Yawar Ali, a two-judge bench of the court heard a high treason case against Musharraf for suspending the Constitution on Nov 3, 2007 — an offence for which he was indicted on March 31, 2014.
In March 2016, however, he left the country for Dubai to "seek medical treatment" and hasn't returned since.
Justice Yawar today mulled whether Musharraf's statement could be recorded in his absence, and if his statement could not be recorded, then what options were available so that hearings of the case could be conducted.
The special court judge directed the Interior Ministry to suggest ways through which the former military dictator "could be brought back to Pakistan".
"Is there not another option besides Interpol to bring him back?" he asked, adding that the ministry should apprise the court in this regard in the next hearing, the date for which has been fixed for October 9.
"We now have to rule on this case and bring it to its final conclusion," the judge remarked.

Please struck off this case and all the others which are politically motivated and dishonour a great general of the army. He made mistakes like all humans but was compelled. NRO was his biggest mistake. So was letting the Sharifs go to Saudia.

This is the age old tactic of pass the bug to someone else and this drama of back and forth will continue and the final verdict will be delayed as much as possible.
In the meantime Musharraf, who is sitting on assets worth millions of dollars, will enjoy his luxurious vacation in Dubai and elsewhere.

General Musharraf loves Pakistan , He was and is good soldier ,He fought for Pakistan , fought for us . allow him to come with respect .He is not a enemy definitely beyond doubt not a traitor and he did not betrayed Pakistan .
He is human made a mistake no biggie . actually when he will back he can help, advise and give some of his expertise in our national interest to our P.M .Khan ........Mr , Prime Minister please think about is .Right not a time for disunite ,separate or fragment we need to be stick close to gather. Mr Musharraf has done nothing wrong.He saved trillion of Rs by coming in power in1999,otherwise our loan liability would have exceeded Rs 47 trillion by now by corrupt government of PPPP and PMLN.Pakistan loan liability was Rs 5 trillion in 1999 and was increased by Rs 1 trillion from 2000 to 2007.If the corrupt rulers were there, it would have exceeded by Rs 20 trillion in the same period and add Rs22 trillion actually added from 2008 to 2018.In the above circumstances if Mr Musharraf is to be tried,the reason must be why he failed to recover looted money from ex rulers in 1999, why he did NRO in 2007 and finally knowingly that these two parties have ruined Pakistan, he transferred the government to them in 2008 and further creating great loss to the country.

Before commenting, does anyone know how much money this man has taken, that is rightfully belongs to the people of Pakistan. He is enjoying a luxurious and lavish life with all comforts and security in Dubai, while people back home suffer hardship day after day.

No doubt Musharraf is dead honest. He has done nothing wrong rather it was fault of nawaz sharif who did conspiracy against him and was not allowing his plane to land and tried to send it to our hostile neighbor country. Musharraf had no choice. He kept Pakistan economy stable as well as the rupee rate vs dollar which was around 60 during his entire rule of almost 9 years.

Please concentrate on the real issue of how to bring back the looted money from Nawaz Sharif , Ishaq Dar and their family members and put the country back on track. I wonder if the foreign banks are willing to cooperate and return the money as no bank would like to decrease its deposits. IMF was happy to give loans to Pakistan as it knew that it would end back into its foreign accounts after being looted by corrupt politicians like Nawaz Sharif and his family members.
