MULTAN: A video of torturing a student in Bahauddin Zakariya University went viral on Sunday.

Muhammad Tasueef was brutally tortured by a group of students. Tauseef’s nose and leg fractured and was shifted to Nishtar Hospital where he is under treatment.

As many as eight students were injured and admitted to hospital during the last one week because of clash between student groups.

Tauseef was subjected to inhuman treatment as he was badly attacked by the students of his rival group with clubs. The suspects had also filmed the brutal act.

BZU Resident Officer Dr Muqarrab Akbar said a letter was sent to the city police officer for action against the students with their names and addresses.

PPP LEADER: City President Pakistan Peoples Party (Women Wing) Syeda Abida Hussain Bukhari has termed the corruption reference filed by the National Accountability Bureau against former prime minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani political victimisation.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Mrs Bukhari said: “If the government did not withdraw the baseless reference against the PPP central leadership, the female workers of the party from Multan would take to the streets.”
