KARACHI: Athletic-built pugilists of Sindh Rangers amassed three golds to win the two-day all-Sindh Defence Day boxing tournament which concluded at Ustad Ali Mohammad Qambrani Boxing Stadium, Kakri Ground, on Thurssday.

Faraz (64 kg), Khalil Asghar (75 kg) and Mustafa Tareen (+91 kg) did the Rangers proud by picking up golds.

Newly appointed Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs, Haroon Ahmed Khan, who graced the occasion, gave away the prizes.

Razia Bano, who created history by appearing in the Jakarta Asian Games recently, was also present.

The event was organised by the Sindh Boxing Association.

49 kg: Zohaib Rashid (Karachi Greens) bt Salman (Sukkur) 3-0; Karim Bux (Karachi Yellows) bt Raza Mohammad (Larkana) 2-1.

60 kg: Salman (Larkana) bt Umair Khan (Karachi Yellows) 2-1; Jalil Ahmed bt Naveed (Hyderabad) 3-0.

64 kg: Mohammad Faraz (Sindh Rangers) bt Munir (Hyderabad) 3-0; Faizan Butt (Karachi Yellows) bt Aqib (Benazirabad) 2-1.

69 kg: Naqibullah (Hyderabad) bt Zaman (Mirpurkhas) 3-0; Umer Khan (Karachi Yellows) bt Gulzar (Benazirabad) 3-0.

75 kg: Khalil Asghar (Sindh Rangers) bt Huzaifa Khan (Hyderabad0 2-1; Ghulamullah Khan (Karachi Yellows) bt Anzala (Sukkur) 2-1; Hasan Raza (Karachi Yellows) bt Naushad Ahmed (Benazirabad) 3-0.
