CHITRAL: A 40-year-old man ended his life by jumping into Yarkhoon River in Lusht village, becoming the second such victim in the district during the current week.

Chitral police identified the deceased as Sadruddin who was father of two and was reported to have been missing for last two days. His body was found from river near Miragram village on Sunday morning.

Earlier, a 25-year-old woman from Hone village of Chitral town had committed suicide by hanging herself in her room.

Meanwhile, a young motorcyclist lost his life on Sunday morning as his bike collided with a car on Chitral-Drosh road near Juti Lusht area.

The police identified the young man as Sardar Ayub Khan while the driver of the car, Mehtab Khan of Upper Dir, had been arrested for reckless driving.
