LARKANA: A man and a woman were killed and seven others suffered injuries when a passenger van overturned near Pakho town on Indus Highway, 15 kilometres from here on Saturday.

The Sehwan-bound van overturned when its driver Sadoro Panhwar lost control of the vehicle while trying to save a donkey which had suddenly come before him, causing instant death of the driver and injuries to Sardar Khatoon, Ghulam Zehra, Sadam Hussain, Mir Hazar, Rabia, 12; Zaffar and Khushboo.

Later, Sardar Khatoon succumbed to her injuries at Chandka Medical College Hospital where police shifted them in their van since there was no ambulance available to carry them to the hospital.

The bodies were handed over to heirs after autopsy.
