LAHORE: An earthquake of moderate intensity jolted Lahore and several adjacent cities on Saturday afternoon, terrifying people a great deal.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the epicenter of the earthquake was 30km north of Nankana Sahib, near Lahore.

Its intensity was 4.3 at the Richter Scale and depth 10km.

The tremors were also felt in Kot Radha Kishan, Phoolnagar, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Multan, Kasur, Khanewal, Pakpattan, Hafizabad, Gujranwala and Sheikhupura.

No loss of life or property was immediately reported.
