KARACHI: Karachi is being given a bridal look to accord a colourful welcome to King Hussein and the Royal guests arriving here tomorrow [Aug 27] for the wedding of Crown Prince Hasan Bin Talal and Princess Sarvath Ikramullah.

The bridegroom, Crown Prince Hasan Bin Talal and other Royal guests will arrive at the Karachi airport at 6 pm tomorrow.

The airport terminal building is being decked out with national flags of the two countries and multi-coloured bunting to accord a colourful reception to the distinguished guests. The road between the terminal building and the Star Gate is being decorated. More than 20 bands, including some from local schools, will play welcome tunes along the entire route of the royal procession. Round-abouts at Karsaz, Gora Qabristan and Musical Fountain are receiving final touches. The route leading to Kashana — the residence of the bride — is also being decorated with national flags and multi-coloured bunting.

After their arrival in Karachi the Royal guests will visit the bride’s house to place a ring on Princess Sarvath’s finger. Later the bride’s family will visit the Royal family at the President’s House for a similar ceremony.
