LAHORE: Kashif Asif (SNGPL) and Waqas Mehboob (PAF) marched into the final of the 3rd Punjab National Senior Squash Championship here at the Punjab Squash Complex on Friday.

Kashif went to full distance to notch-up win against Abbas Zeb of KP in a five-game semifinal. Kashif roared back gallantly after losing first two games to win the remaining three games at the trot to set the date in the final. The scoreline was 9/11,4/11,11/2,11/4,11/5. The contest lasted 44 minutes.

Waqas, however, earned rather an easy win against Saddam-ul-Haq of Army in four games’ prefinal. Waqas also lost the first game before staging a brilliant comeback to book the place in the final. The score was 10/12, 19/17, 11/2, 11/2.
