KOHAT: A murder accused was killed in an ambush soon after his release on bail in front of the prison by his enemies here on Thursday.

The alleged killers were arrested along with murder weapons by officials of the quick response force while fleeing.

Officials said that the accused Iftikhar belonging to Mir Asghar Mela of Orakzai Agency and residing in Junglekhel had killed one Saqib over a dispute of cow theft three months ago. He was arrested by Jarma police and the court sent him to prison.

He was allegedly killed by Ishfaq Khan and Vaqas Khan, residents of Junglekhel, as soon as he came out of the Kohat prison. He was released on bail and his enemies knew it and were sitting in ambush to take revenge of murder of their relative, Saqib.

The police shifted the alleged killers to Jarma police station and registered a case against them.

Body of Iftikhar was taken to the KDA hospital and then handed over to the relatives for burial.
