KARACHI: Former Olympian and senior administration official of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) camp office, Iftikhar Syed has undergone angiography at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) on Friday following heart ailment, sources told Dawn.

According to sources, the doctors will implant two coronary stents to open the blockage in his arteries.

It may be mentioned that Syed, who returned from the US recently, was rushed to the NICVD after he suffered pain in his office at Abdul Sattar Edhi Stadium the other day.
