DADU, June 7: Police on Tuesday arrested six bandits and six absconders and recovered a huge quantity of arms from them. On a tip-off, a strong contingent of police, led by DPO Rukhsar Khuhawar, conducted a raid on the forest in the jurisdiction of Thrari Mohabat police station and arrested three notorious bandits.

They were identified as Ghulam Sarwar alias Saroo, Essa alias Esso and Allah Dino.

Police seized three Kalashnikovs rifles and 100 live bullets after a brief encounter.

The police party searched kutcha area in Aminiani, Khairpur Nathan Shah and Saeedpur and arrested three bandits Bakhshal Ali, Ghulam Hyder, Imamuddin and six absconders including Ali Bux, Mazhar, Jhandir, Abdul Sattar and Hanif.

Police seized one pistol and 30 cartridges from them.
