I woke up as usual that day. I got out of bed and washed my face and brushed my teeth. Suddenly I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. To my surprise I had horns on my head!

I shuddered and looked at myself in disbelief. I really had horns on my head!

As I was getting late for school, I hurriedly changed my clothes and ran downstairs to eat breakfast. Luckily, my mother was in a hurry and didn’t notice my horns and I managed to slip out of the house without anyone noticing me.

As I got into the school van, my friends noticed my horns and teased me. I felt hot fire coming out of myself. I felt like hitting them with my horns and when it became unbearable, I really hit them with my horns! This got them to stop teasing me.

In the school too, everyone stared at me in amazement. I felt like crying and hitting them, but couldn’t do anything. After a ghastly and disastrous day at school, I came back and told my mother about the day at school.

My mother told me not to worry and she tried to chop the horns off but couldn’t.

I still have horns on my head, but now nobody ever teases me because I don’t let myself feel embarrassed for being different from others. I go everywhere with confidence and people have also now accepted me the way I am because I have accepted myself this way.

It is not one’s fault if one is different from others, because it is not a fault at all!
