Polls & media

PAKISTAN is going through one of the most difficult times since independence. Uncertainty hovers over like never before.

The clash of institutions has never been so bad. Politicians and bureaucracy are in constant confrontation with courts and the accountability bureau. More candidates have switched parties than ever before and there is a lot of mention of an ‘invisible hand’ calling all the shots.

I urge media houses, anchors, writers and reporters to remain neutral and perform their duties responsibly. These elections will play a pivotal role in deciding the future of democracy in Pakistan, so please assist the process, don’t disrupt it.
