PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company’s chief executive has assured the provincial chief election commissioner of uninterrupted power supply in the entire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the election day, July 25.

A statement issued here on Friday said that the Pesco management had made all arrangements to provide smooth power supply in the province on the election day as well as one day before and after the elections.

It was stated that all the field officers had been strictly directed to be vigilant during this period to cope with any emergency regarding electricity.

For this purpose, power supply to all types of independent industries would be suspended on this day and that power would be utilised specially on general feeders.

It was stated that Pesco was facing constraints in some areas like Swat, Mardan, Swabi, Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, etc where load management would be carried out and some feeders in rural localities of these districts would experience power outages on interval basis.

The election staff was asked to keep close liaison with the concerned administration to avoid any inconvenience.
