KASUR: Three workers of Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) suffered injuries on Saturday after an argument with their party’s candidate for NA-137 near Kamal Chisti Mor.

The scuffle erupted after candidate Mufti Farooqul Hassan and his workers argued over the choice of song for their campaign.

Hassan and the workers were standing at Kamal Chishti Mor to welcome TLP chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi, who was on his way here after attending a public meeting in Khudian Town.

According to complainant Khurram Shahzad, Hassan and others, including Zahid Attari, Qari Abdul Ghaffar and Afzal Ali, started beating him up and other workers, including Riaz and Shahzad, when they refused to play the campaign song.

Police were looking into the matter.
