THE Kyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission needs to revisit some of its decisions. The candidates appearing this year have learnt that the commission has decided to conduct the PMS examinations from July 31 in two parts. The compulsory papers will be scheduled in candidates’ home district whereas the optional papers will be held in Peshawar.
The decision is irrational on two counts. First, many universities schedule their masters examination in August and several candidates will be appearing in these exams. Second, August is one of the most humid and hot months and taking the exam in this month will adversely affect candidates.
The public service commission chairman should keep the above in mind before finalising the PSC exam dates.
