THE water shortage problem is worse than ever in Karachi. The fact that we don’t get water supply for our houses for days makes basic household chores and routine difficult. In fact water shortages have robbed the citizens of peace of mind.

A well-entrenched mafia usurps supplies to the city to sell at high prices to the citizens deprived of this life-sustaining commodity.

On the rare occasions that water is supplied, the timings are always after midnight and sometimes as late as 3:00am.

At the very least, water should be supplied with pressure on fixed days and at fixed timings.
