MY VILLAGE, Balgater, in Kech district of Balochistan, has about 300 families, but there is no high school for girls. There is one school where both boys and girls study. In a society like ours, girls face many difficulties in acquiring education along with boys.
Interesting as it sounds, there are more girls than boys in the school. The girls are keen to acquire education but would prefer a school of their own. I appeal to the local education authorities and to Balochistan’s education minister to look into the problem and order the opening of a high school only for girls in our village.
