ISLAMABAD: Three men murdered their rival after chasing him from his home at KRL Road on Monday.

Police said three people reached the house of Shahbaz Babar at Al-Noor Colony and told his father that he (Babar) had shot and injured one of their brothers.

They inquired about Babar who was not present in the house at that time. In the meantime, Babar arrived outside his home along with his uncle Mohammad Tahir Kiani in a car.

Seeing the three men outside the house, Babar and his uncle sped off. But the three men chased them in their own car and intercepted them at a service road, the police said. Babar and his uncle then disembarked from the car and fled.

However, the three men chased Babar on foot and caught him.

Two of the men then got hold of Babar and the third one hit him in the head with an axe and fled.

Mr Kiani returned to his car and shifted the injured to hospital where he was pronounced dead, the police stated.
