KARACHI: Punjab beat Ghazi Sports 2-0 in the final to clinch the title of the 4th Abdul Razak Arain Ramazan Night Rocball Tournament here at the Mini Sports Complex, Nazimabad on Sunday night.
Amanullah of Punjab was in brilliant form and scored both the goals against Ghazi Sports. In the third place event Police edged past Garden Fighter 2-1.
Dr. Junid Ali Shah was the chief guest at the closing ceremony and distributed the cash prizes. Winners Punjab received a handsome amount of Rs.150,000 while the runner-up Ghazi Sports got Rs 50,000.
Dr. Junaid also announced to allott dedicated playground for Pakistan Rocball Federation to promote the sport in Karachi and Sindh. Ume Laila Kalsoom, General Secretary Pakistan Rocball Federation, in her speech, said Pakistan Rocball Team will be participating in the Asian Rocball Championship at Malaysia in September.
Also present on the occasion were Chairman Pakistan Rocball Federation Saeed Ahmed Arain and President Ajazuddin of Sindh Rocball Association, Olympian Waseem Feroz, PRF SVP Maqbool Arain and others.
