QUETTA: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s provincial president Sardar Yar Mohamamd Rind claimed that the newly formed Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) had no future as it did not possess a programme for people.
Addressing a press conference on Sunday along with former provincial minister Mir Shah Nawaz Marri who has joined the PTI, Mr Rind said that PTI was the only party which could resolve problems being faced by the people of Balochistan.
According to Mr Rind, it was unfortunate that some PTI workers had joined BAP, a party which he said did not have any political vision.
He added that people who were more interested in their personal gains rather than politics were joining BAP.
Applauding Mr Marri for his work during the Aslam Raisani-led government, Sardar Rind claimed that the PTI needed people like Mr Marri — politicians who believed in serving the people.
Discussing the next general elections, Mr Rind said that after July 25, the PTI would emerge as the country’s new political force.
He was hopeful that the party would form the federal and provincial governments.
He said that they were in discussion with other political parties about seat adjustments and future alliances.Talking about the last general elections, Mr Rind said that for 22 years, PTI chief Imran Khan had been striving for a free and fair electoral system in the country but the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz had rigged the previous elections.
