KARACHI: In an act likely to raise eyebrows, Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) chairperson Marvi Memon on Friday took to Twitter to blame ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s advisers for the Pakistan Muslim League-N’s current predicament.

Tweeting from her verified account @marvi_memon, she said: “Most of what I say most members feel N say in closed doors. It’s better to b honest than two faced. That’s worse for party. Esp when party goin thru tuff times. Loyalty is not criticising behind closed doors. So pls kindly watch it. Don’t push me.”

An hour before her previous tweet, she said: “Winding up speech of govt minister for Finance [in the National Assembly] cldnt take place bec quorum pointed. I remember doin worse in my opposition days. It is r responsibility as govt to maintain quorum in all sessions esp budget. No point blaming opposition.”

Ms Memon joined Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) in 2007. She was elected to the National Assembly in 2008 on a reserved seat for women from Punjab.
