LAHORE, May 23: Ailing goalkeeper Mohammad Qasim will leave for the United States on Saturday for treatment of cancer. Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) said on Monday arrangements for his travel had been completed. Pakistan Embassy in Washington has been involved in assisting Qasim.

Qasim has been waiting for financial help for treatment after learning some eight months ago that he is suffering from cancer.

Earlier, local doctors had diagnosed that goalkeeper had heart problem.

PHF said it would pay bills for the treatment Qasim received at local hospitals besides providing him return ticket of the United States.
