FORMER Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi has recently tweeted in favour of innocent Kashmiris and has asked the United Nations to take notice of mass killings of unarmed protesters in India-occupied Kashmir.

The Indian media could not digest this tweet. Indian journalist and television news anchor Arnab Goswami criticised the Indian cricketers for not taking a tough stance against Afridi’s tweet.

Bollywood stars and Indian cricketers are often forced by the Indian media to give statements against Pakistan to show their so-called ‘desh bakhthi’.

In an interview, Afridi said it was the Indian media which never let good relations between Pakistan and India flourish. Well said, Afridi.
