KARACHI, Jan 8: Acute water shortage has been persisting in several localities of the city for the last four days.

The worst affected areas include PECHS Block 3, Maqboolabad, Sharfabad, Hussaini Society, CP Berar Society, Pak Colony, Hasrat Mohani Colony and parts of Lyari, North Karachi and Malir.

The residents of the affected localities said that although they had been experiencing acute water shortage for the last four or five days, the concerned officials of the KWSB were taking no measures for restoration of the supply, despite a number of complaints lodged with them.

They demanded of the city Nazim to direct the authorities concerned to restore normal water supply in their localities without any further delay.
