LAHORE: Twenty-four pre-quarterfinals were decided on the first day of the inaugural Punjab National Junior Squash Championship here at the Punjab Squash Complex on Wednesday.

The matches were played in U-15, U-13 and U-11 age groups.

Only one upset in Under-15 was recorded when Syed Husnain of Baluchistan beat Junaid Khan of Punjab in five setters 8/11, 3/11, 11/7,11/7,12/10. The match lasted 40 minutes to produce the result in favour of Husnain.

All other top seeded players qualified for quarterfinals in U-15, U-13 and U-11 categories.
