Multan, Sialkot emerge winners by identical margins

KARACHI: In the three remaining matches of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Grade-II cricket tournament on Tuesday, Multan and Sialkot both sealed identical wins by five wickets.

Sialkot rode on Usama Mir’s unbeaten 82 from 83 balls (13 boundaries and one six) to defeat Larkana in the Pool ‘B’ tie here at the National Stadium.

Multan beat Quetta at the Multan Cricket Stadium in the Pool ‘A’ fixture while Abbottabad recovered from a precarious position to draw with Bahawalpur at the Dring Stadium in Bahawalpur.

Karachi Blues, meanwhile, had an extra day off on Tuesday after having drubbed Dera Murad Jamali by an innings and 165 runs at the TMC Ground on Monday’s day two of the third-round match.
