PARKING at Skardu Airport’s limited space is a nuisance. The tax charges imposed by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) aren’t fair, and there is a need to acquire more land for parking.

The increasing number of vehicles has added to the flow of traffic which has not been regularised by the Gilgit-Baltistan administration. There should be a separate lane for vehicles coming in and going out, as one small gate is creating problems. The wide-body monoplane that operates on the Skardu route brings 130 passengers, but space for parking is not commensurate.

The CAA should address the issue.
