PARACHINAR: Elders of Kurram Agency on Friday staged a Pakistan Zindabad rally in favour of army and against Pakhtun Tahafuz Movement’s (PTM) alleged campaign against law-enforcement agencies.

The rally was attended by members of both Shia and Sunni elders from upper, central and lower Kurram to show solidarity with the armed forces of Pakistan.

The protesters were holding placards inscribed with slogans in favour of Pak Army.

The elders condemned PTM’s leader Manzoor Pashteen for “maligning” the role of LEAs in Fata. They alleged that he was promoting foreign agenda to destablise the country and make role of army and other law enforcement agencies controversial. They said law-enforcement agencies were playing vital role in restoring peace and ensuring development in the region.
