PESHAWAR, May 19: President of Muttahida Talaba Mahaz of Gomal University, Shakeel Khan Roghani, has demanded that the government must arrest killers of university student Asif Shah. He also demanded release of those arrested for participating in a protest against students staff members of the university who, they alleged, were involved in the murder of the student.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, the president of the Talaba Mahaz said that Asif Shah’s father had lodged a complaint with the administration of the Gomal University just days before his son was murdered that he had received a warning from Shaista Khan, a security guard at the university, but the university did not take the complaint seriously.

Mr Khan quoted from a press statement of a police official in which he had claimed that though the father of the victim had submitted a complaint with the university administration, yet they did not convey it to the police station concerned.
