Wales hold Pakistan 1-1

GOLD COAST: In an unimpressive performance, Pakistan hockey team was held to a 1-1 draw by the lowly-ranked Wales team in the hockey event of the Commonwealth Games here on Thursday

Wales shocked the greenshirts by notching up the lead through Rupert Shipperly in the third quarter of the play.

However, Mubashar Ali converted a penalty corner just in time to equalise for Pakistan.

Pakistan will take on arch-rivals India on Saturday, April 7 in their second match of the Games.
