JI wants Dr Qadir to be caretaker PM: Siraj

SIALKOT: Jamaat-i-Islami Emir Senator Sirajul Haq says his party has presented the name of prominent scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan as caretaker prime minister.

Addressing a public meeting at Sambrial near Sialkot on Sunday, he said: “The Jamaat has okayed and forwarded the name of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan for the slot of caretaker prime minister of Pakistan.”

Sirajul Haq hoped: “Now, the next turn is of MMA to be in power with the power of the votes by the masses.”

He said the MMA’s top agenda would be to ensure the promotion of ‘Islamic democracy’ and elimination of the western culture as well.

He said the JI would also continue with its nation-wide movement to eliminate corruption from the country, besides making Pakistan an Islamic welfare state as envisaged by the Quaid-i-Azam.

@ABU KHALID If he is such a great patriot then why did he give such statement on TV admitting that he has been involved in cheating and smuggling. A great patriot would die but not bend in front of any dictator or ruler

@M Taimur May be you are not understanding the whole situation. He was made to be the scapegoat and took the blame, otherwise the a number of institutes would be facing disgrace and uncertain faith. It was all done to keep US happy, it was a part of settlement. One man took the fall to save many! Your question should be directed toward the people who instead of shielding him put him into this predicament. You should be questioning their patriotism! No country including US achieved their nuclear capability with clean hands...
