QUETTA: A large quantity of arms and ammunition, including landmines and hand-grenades, was seized from the Kahan area of Kohlu district on Thursday in a joint operation conducted by the Levies and other law enforcement agencies. According to the deputy commissioner of Kohlu, around 200 Levies personnel conducted raids at the hideouts of suspected militants in the area on information provided by intelligence agencies. He added that illegal weapons had been dumped underground by the suspected militants.

They seized several weapons including landmines, hand-grenades, RPG-7, 60MM mortars, RPG-7 fuses, 107MM missiles fuses and 19 boxes of MG rounds.

No arrests were made.
