ALTHOUGH using ‘echo sounds’ at weddings is part of the urban culture, the new trend of using heavy loudspeakers, firecrackers and aerial firing during wedding programmes creates inconvenience to the people. It creates noise pollution that leads to headaches and other psychological problems.

Wedding functions at late night disturb people. It is socially, morally and legally wrong to cause trouble to others while celebrating social events. This is tantamount to destroying mental peace. The local administration, police and relevant authorities must take notice of this nuisance.
