CHARSADDA: Three people died in different incidents in Charsadda district on Wednesday.

Unknown assailants riding a motorcycle opened fire on Sultan, a resident of Dir, in Bahlola area in the jurisdiction of Khanmai police station, killing him on the spot. The police registered a case and started investigation.

Local people said the victim was killed by his rivals over an old enmity.

In the second incident, Riaz was gunned down by his rivals over a land dispute in Mandani area. The assailants managed to escape. A case was registered by the son of the deceased against accused Ilyas and his father Jan Bacha.

Sher Zaman, 40, committed suicide allegedly after his brother refused to give him money for purchase of drugs as he was a drug addict. Shabqaddar police registered case and started investigation.
