KOHAT: Pakistan Peoples Party launched its membership campaign here on Sunday. On this occasion, the provincial and local leaders claimed that most of the PTI activists would join PPP before the 2018 general elections.

The ceremony was held at the hujra of Asghar Khan in Mitha Khan area. The campaign was being led by provincial president of minority wing Naseeb Chand, tehsil councillor Mehnaz Ali, district joint secretary Khaksar Ali, Tanveer Shah, Himmat Gul, Yousuf Khan, Sultan Shah and Dr Ulfat Hussain.

Mr Bilal said that PPP had roots in masses and people of their area would fully support it. The membership campaign of PTI in KP-38 was also launched at Chakar Kot by MPA Ziaullah Bangash which was also attended by district nazim Naseem Afridi and district president Aftab Alam.

They claimed that PTI was the most popular party and it had done a remarkable work in all sectors, including health, education and water, in Kohat. They said that PTI would return to power in the 2018 general elections on the basis of its performance.

PROTEST: The weekly protest for provision of category-A facilities in the KDA teaching hospital was held on its premises on Sunday.

Karwan-i-Amal, a local orgnanisation, was leading the protest. The workers of PPP, PML-N Mohammdzai Welfare Organsiation, Ittefaq Welfare Organisation and elders were present on the occasion.

The KA chairman said that the major hospital of Kohat division still lacked burns centre, trauma center, MRI, CT scan and other facilities.
