ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s tennis team moved into the Junior Davis Cup final held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on Friday.

Pakistan beat Sri Lanka 3-0 in the semi-final of the event, said a press release issued here.

Both the finalists (Pakistan and Pacific Oceania) will qualify for the Asia Oceania Junior Davis Cup qualifying round to be held in Kuching, Malaysia next month.

Pakistan will play the top-seeded team, Pacific Oceania, in the final on Saturday.

Semi-final: Huzaifa Abdul Rehman beat Kavisha Ratnayake: 6-2, 6-2; Muhammad Shoaib beat Chaturya Nilawaeera: 6-2, 6-0; Huzaifa Abdul Rehman, Muhammad Ahmed Kamil beat Kavisha Ratnayake and Ashen Silva: 6-1, 6-2.
