MANSEHRA: The upper parts of Hazara division received snowfall and rain lashed the plains on third consecutive day on Saturday.

The rain continued to lash Mansehra, Torghar and Kohistan districts throughout on Saturday.

The hilly and mountainous parts received heavy snowfall bringing the mercury down.

Link roads leading to villages from Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad road in Kaghan valley were also blocked because of heavy snow and landslides.

According to locals, boulders fell on the roads in Siren and Konsh valleys.

Meanwhile, Battagram and its adjoining areas received fresh spell of rain and snowfall. Battagram, Ajmera, Chappargram, Peshora, Shamlai, Batamori, Kuza Banda and areas of Allai tehsil, Rashang, Bateela, Biari, Banna Khapero Soka and Chail Sar received snowfall and rain.

Snow covered the hilltops surrounding the Battagram and Allai tehsils.

Heavy snowfall was also reported from remote Galey Maidan and Srei Oba areas. Battagram hills received third spell of snowfall during the first week of March.
