DADU: General Officer Commanding, Hyderabad, Major General Mohammed Ali visited the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar and inspected security arrangements made at and around it in the wake of the Feb 16, 2017 suicide blast that had left close to 90 people dead and scores of others wounded.

The GOC took round of all parts of the shrine and its surroundings along with Hyderabad Commissioner Saeed Ahmed Mangnejo, DIG Javed Alam Odho and other officials.

The officials briefed him about new measures taken and security environment ensured to ward off recurrence of any terrorist act at the shrine.

Shrine custodian Syed Wali Muhammad Shah discussed with the GOC matters relating to security and development at the shrine.

Chief Administrator Munawwar Ali Mahesar, Jamshoro Deputy Commissioner Fareeduddin, Special Branch SSP Syed Aamir Abbas, Jamshoro SSP Syed Irfan Bahadur Shah and officials of the Auqaf department also attended a briefing on shrine security.
