MULTAN: Three people, including two children, were killed and 11 others were injured when a bus collided with a school van on Friday in Jalalpur Pirwala.

According to Rescue 1122 officials, the van was transporting children to their schools when the crash took place near Alipur Chowk. Minors Affan and Kamran and driver Arif died on the spot.

They said the Rescue 1122 staff shifted three children to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Jalalpur, from where they were shifted to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital, Bahawalpur. They said two other children were shifted to hospital by the staff of patrolling police.

Six children sustained minor injuries and were provided medical aid on the spot.
