HYDERABAD: Minister for Industries Manzoor Wassan suffered bruises and three of the police guards escorting his vehicle sustained minor injuries when three vehicles of Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah’s convoy collided near Hydreabad late on Saturday evening.

The accident took place when the convoy crossed Pinyari canal and a double-cabin escort vehicle carrying Mr Wassan’s police guards hit the minister’s black V8 from behind. The minister’s vehicle also dashed against the police mobile moving ahead.

The convoy was on its way back to Karachi from Hyderabad, where the CM and the minister attended the wedding ceremony of Syed Mohammad Hassan Shah Rizvi, the grandson of PPP Hyderabad division president Syed Ali Nawaz Shah Rizvi.

The front of the double-cabin was completely destroyed while the front and back sides of the minister’s vehicle sustained considerable damage. The police mobile was also partially damaged in the accident.

Mr Wassan then boarded the CM’s vehicle and the convoy resumed its journey.
