MULTAN: The trophy of the women’s triangular one-day tournament, commencing from Sunday, was unveiled by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) here at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Three teams — PCB Blasters, PCB Challengers and PCB Dynamites — will participate in the event.

According to officials, seven matches will be played among the participating teams which include national-level cricketers.

The final of the tournament will be held on Feb 20. PCB Blasters captain Naheed Khan, while talking to media after the trophy unveiling ceremony, said the tournament would offer a good opportunity to emerging players in polishing their skills.

Sidra Ameen, captain of PCB Challengers, and Javeria Khan of PCB Dynamites reckoned the venue, pitch and weather conditions were suitable for the event. The national women’s team will be selected on the basis of the players’ performance in the triangular tournament.
