PESHAWAR: Graffiti of Daesh, an international militant outfit, appeared on a bridge on the outskirts of Peshawar here on Tuesday, according to sources.

They told Dawn that word Daesh was written with red paint on the side of a bridge near the Charsadda Road.

Later, the police deleted the militant graffiti.

When contacted, Mathra police officials denied any knowledge of the incident and said it might have taken place in Faqirabad police station limits. Faqirabad police also denied knowledge of the graffiti.
