KARACHI: Nixor College, Bahria College NORE I, City School PAF Chapter and Indus Academy completed the semi-final line-up in the boys category of the Brig (Retd.) Rashid Ali Malik Memorial Inter-school (A-Levels) boys and girls basketball championships at the Arambagh court on Tuesday.

The event resumed after a two-day weekend and Kashmir Day holiday break..

Danish and Zohaib Karim starred as Nixor College outplayed Beaconhouse North Nazimabad 64-30. The former garnered 30 points while the latter was almost equally good with 23. Hamza scored six.

Ajwat and Najam were the main scorers for the losers with 10 and eight respectively.

Umer Farooq (16) and Shehryar (15) steered Bahria College NORE I to a 44-13 victory over Bay View College.

Sharjeel and Rohail contributed six and four for the losers.

City School PAF Chapter made it to the last four registering a 24-19 victory over Lyceum School.

Taimoor Zaheer turned out to be the main scorer for the winners with a tally of 15. He was assisted by Bilal Jamil with five. Taha Younus and Shahpur scored five and four respectively for the losers.

Meanwhile, Indus Academy propelled in the semis by default as their opponents Beaconhouse Johar Campus reached late at the venue.

Wednesday’s fixtures:

Girls semi-finals:

Indus Academy v The City School PAF Chapter at 2pm, Lyceum College v The City School Darakshan at 3pm.

Boys semi-finals:

Nixor College v Indua Academy at 4pm, The City School PAF Chapter v Bahria College NORE-I at 5pm.
