GUJRANWALA: Ten officials of Rescue 1122 were arrested by Baghbanpura police after a clash with lawyers over an issue of parking a car in Gala Taranwala on Wednesday.

A four-wheeler of lawyer Arif Mehr was parked at Gala Taranwala. When Rescue 1122 officials passed by they asked Mehr to move his vehicle so they could pass. The lawyer and rescue officials exchanged harsh words and later got into a scuffle.

Later, both parties called in their fellows that resulted in a huge brawl.

City Assistant Commissioner Rao Sohail Akhtar, an assistant superintendent of police along with a heavy contingent of police reached there and dispersed both sides following an assurance that the culprits would be booked.

Baghbanpura police arrested Rescue 1122 officials identified as Faisal, Ahmad, Usman, Abid, Fakhar, Muhammad Umar, Waseem, Akram, Mubin and Usman Mukhtar after registration of a case against them under sections 365, 506, 147 and 149 of the PPC.
