QUETTA, May 9: The Governor of Balochistan, Owais Ahmed Ghani, has directed officials of Quetta Electric Supply Company (Qesco) to complete their ongoing projects at the earliest. Mr Ghani also asked the officials to improve power distribution system in the province. The governor was speaking at a briefing by the Chief Executive Officer of Qesco, Brigadier Tassaduq Hussain, here on Monday.

The governor condemned the damaging of power installations in the province and said that such activities only resulted in people’s suffering due to interruption in power supply.

He said that the government had spent Rs24 million so far on having these installations repaired, an amount that could have been used for electrifying 20 more villages in the province.
