THERE is a beautiful six-storey building on Shaheed-i-Millat Road, adjecent to Hill Park General Hospital, notwithstanding the filth and garbage and the uneven pavers surrounding this building.
But even after three years, the 36 apartments do not have a gas connection and have to rely on gas cylinders. This writer managed to get the moratorium on gas connection removed for this building two years ago.But on one pretext or another the gas connection has not been provided. Meanwhile, the builder built a couple of rooms and washrooms on the terrace and asked the apartment owners to allow him to build further floors, otherwise they will have to live with gas cylinders!
The objective of the builder is supported by the inaction on the part of Sui Gas authority. This writer appealed to the Sindh Building Control Authority to intercede in the matter but failed to get any response.
