Bilawal dissociates from Rashid’s rant

LAHORE: PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has distanced his party from the words used for parliament in the public meeting organised by the opposition parties on The Mall here on Wednesday.

The PPP respects the parliament and will always do so, Mr Bhutto-Bhutto tweeted soon after Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan cursed the legislative house in his speech.

“The PPP respects Parliament and will always respect Parliament. Cannot help the behaviour of others but will never endorse disrespecting Parliament,” tweeted the PPP chief in response to PTI chairman’s public cursing of the parliament and loud thinking that his party may follow Awami League’s Sheikh Rashid in resigning from the National Assembly.

Some leaders think that the show failed to give any of the stated results.

“The euphoria of this joint public meeting is over; it was just a show of who can speak louder? Who can make more exaggerated claims?” says Awami Workers Party’s Farooq Tariq.

A parliament is made up of democratically elected respected individuals who make laws for the betterment of the people who elect them. Can you say this about current parliament?

@Hasnain Haque if only they are respectful or respected members, then their actions,work and discussions and priorities are not. They never work for what they are selected or elected. They never work democratically,they just unite on one point and that is when their leaders are in danger of any kind. They behave like slaves and they worry only about their interest even at the cost of the country. They hardly visit the constituencies where from they are elected. So how can they be respectful and respectable. Just by saying no one can be superior and even inferior.

Mr. Bil please note such democracy will not deliver any good thing in this country as “decisions” should be made on “what is Right or Wrong” instead of “majority or minority number of votes”... this is the reason Pakistan always remains on disposal of corrupt persons who manage elections to obtain majority votes and assembly seats in Pakistan and then they build their defense system by patronizing corrupt persons everywhere..... so now it’s high time to move a system which decide on the basis of right of wrong not on the basis of power politics resulting from majority in parliament/assemblies otherwise Pakistan will always suffer….

Looks like Bilawal became more mature than IK. Anyways its amazing that IK was cursing parliament aftre accepting all benefits & perks. Its same like that when someone is about to leave company he/she starts to curse that company. Grow up IK ur also part of this cursed parliament
